Peer-to-peer (P2P) computing is presently attracting huge, immense public consciousness, spurred by way of the recognition of file-sharing platforms similar to Napster, Gnutella, and Morpheus. In P2P platforms a truly huge variety of self sustaining computing nodes, the friends, depend on one another for companies. P2P networks are rising as a brand new allotted computing paradigm due to their strength to harness the computing strength of the hosts composing the community, and since they make their underutilized assets on hand to every other.

This booklet brings jointly 3 specially commissioned invited articles, an creation, and revised types of the papers awarded on the 1st foreign Workshop on brokers and Peer-to-Peer Computing, AP2PC 2002, held in Bologna, Italy in July 2002. The e-book is geared up into topical sections on peer-to-peer companies, discovery and supply of reliable providers, and seek and cooperation in peer-to-peer agent systems.

The patterns in VPC-P correspond to patterns in FRM and pattern invocation provides a method of invoking functions of roles without signatures of functions and addresses of roles. When a message of a pattern is sent into a community, VPC-P automatically invokes the appropriate functions. As well, values returned from the functions are put into the community as messages. Collaboration among roles is constructed as a chain of message passing, and the roles do not require the specification of addresses of roles to invoke.
